MOVIE QUESTION!

On the past class of June 9th, we had to give our opinion about a movie question.

My questions were:

1. Do you watch the Academy Awards?:
Yes, I do. I watch them every year because I´m a big movies fan and I love watching my favorite actors and actresses walking on the red carpet.

2. Do you ever wish you could go to an awards show and dress up in a fancy dress?
Yes, I do. Who wouldn´t want to go to some of the best awards show with a beautiful dress and everyone telling you how pretty you are.

3. Have you ever been to one?
No, I haven´t been to one but I would like to.

Beauty...What is it?

On the class of May 19th, the topic we discussed was "Beauty".

The teacher asked each one, what was beauty for us? My answer was that to me, beauty is everything that makes me happy, and one of those things are being around my loved ones, like my family and friends, and because of the love I have for them, they´re beautiful to me.

Other things that I consider as beautiful are a smile when somebody is sad, hope when nothing seems to be OK and children´s innocence.

Also, we took some questions from a list about beauty and said what we thought about them.

One of them was: Who was the most beautiful person in history? To me, the most beautiful person in history was and continues being Jesuschrist, because of all the things he did for us and the legacy he left.

The second question was: Do you think people should have cosmetic surgery to enhance their looks? I don´t see nothing wrong with people who have cosmetic surgery, because if they´re gonna feel better with themselves after doing it, that´s what matters.

And the last question: Do you think people with many piercings can be beautiful? Of course people with many piercings can be beautiful, specialy for that persons like me who believe that beauty is not how you are externally, if not how your are inside.

In general, I think beauty is not something physical, It´s not about if you´re good looking or not, beauty is what everyone has inside, their feelings, emotions and positive thoughts... all that makes them happy in life.

Science and Technology Class...

The topic of May 26th class was science and technology.

We started talking about Sally Ride, who was the first American woman in space got there. She was only 26 years old at that time and she already had 4 degrees. In my opinion, I think she´s a very influence woman around the world and she has shared her experience with many people, to such a point that she has created organizations to encourage girls to pursue studies in math, science and technology. She´s turning 57 years old today.

On the other hand, we made reference to gadgets. A gadget is a small specialized mechanical or electronic device. We can find many kinds of gadgets, like computers, cellphones, Ipods, cameras, etc. In our days, people are getting used to not living without them and It´s true nowadays they´re a need, but not at the point of having to use them all the time or the most part of it.

Also, we chose three questions to discuss and to give our opinion about.

The first one was: Do you think people should be allowed to clone people or organs of people? Why? In my opinion, I do think people should be allowed to clone organs, because many persons die waiting for a donation, and if organs are cloned, many lives could be saved.

The second one was: What are good and bad points of using computers? Well, good points of using computers could be that you can search for information and to be informed of the most important events around the world. On the other way, bad points are that if you spend too many time in front the computer, you could have problems with your sight and also become a computer vicious person.

And the third one was: How do you think face to face communication differs from communication using computers? There is a huge difference between face to face communication and communication using computers, because in the first one you can tell how the person really is by the facial expressions and gestures. But in the communication using computers the person can fake any personality and make you believe they are someone who they´re not.

What were you doing 10 years ago?

Ten years ago, in 1998, I was studying 3rd grade at Claret´s school. There aren´t specific things that I remember at that age. I probably used to play barbies a lot. I was a great fan of Britney Spears and Shakira too and also I used to dance in front of my mirrow all the time.

5 things you have to do today:

I have to study a lot because I have 3 test by tomorrow. AIso I have to go to the Adolfo Pons hospital cause I have comunity service there; someone is going to tell my group and I what are we gonna do. After that I think I´ll just go home and rest a little bet.

Snacks I enjoy…
I love chocolate a lot, specially the snickers. My favorite snack is ice cream with cereal, like corn pops or choco crispy.

Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
I would buy a big house for my mother and my grandmothers, so they don´t have to do anything there because there are gonna be people who help them in everything. Also I would travel as much as I can; I´d love to visit Hawai. On the other hand, I would buy all the cloth that I want.

Three of my bad habits:
I´m not a patience person, so I´m constantly fighting for anything.

5 places I have lived:
I lived in Cabimas for a year when I was little.

5 jobs I have had:
I´ve usually study a lot because I like getting good grates. Also I´ve loved music and dancing.

3 people I want to know more about:
I would like to know more about: Claudia Sudano, Luis Repizo and Jaime Fuentes.

English Level 6, Classmates!!!

Well, in this picture you can see some of the people who is studying english level 6 with me. I am the one in green. I had a sleepy face in that moment. The girl next to me is Claudia Sudano. She´s a very good friend of mine, and we´re stuying the same career. She´s living here in Maracaibo but her family is from Santa Bárbara originally. Some of the TV series that she likes are "Pushing daisies", "Gossip Girl", etcetera.

The guy in blue is Jaime Fuentes. I just met him in this english class. He seems a very nice person. He was born in Maracaibo and rigth now he`s studying electronic engineering at URBE. He´s 19 years olds and some of his dreams are graduate and being a good engineer, making money and start a family when he´s older. He likes music, going out, italian and japonese food and sleeping. He doesn´t like reggeaton and when somebody wakes him up. About english, he thinks it is the most important language in the world.

On the left side, we got Luis, the guy in the white and green t-shirt. His full name is Luis Repizo. He was born in Venecia but he lives here in Maracaibo. He´s only 17 years old and He´s studying Industrial engineering at URBE and business administration at LUZ.

About the two girls left, I haven´t had too much contact with them so I don´t really remember their names... I just met them in this class too.
